2007 ENERGY TOUR: Day 25 July 19, 2007

Today was spent driving across the lovely state of Montana. We have had some problems today with the RV overheating. We think it was probably due to the very warm weather because as it cooled down at night the RV cooled down also. Although we hated to do it we had to get a little bit of petro-diesel to make it to a biodiesel retailer. With the overheating engine, mountainous terrain, and heavy crosswinds and headwinds we used up a lot of fuel. We stopped in a little town called Livingston. We had several people approach us and talk to us about our tour, including one gentleman, named Jeff Swanson, who asked us why we weren't using biodiesel. Jeff is interested in starting a biodiesel co-op in the Livingston area. After we explained the situation he understood and told us about a biodiesel retailer in Bozeman. This retailer was not listed on Biodiesel.org in the retailers area so we didn't know about it. We had a great visit with several people in Livingston, put enough diesel fuel to make it to Bozeman and headed off. The station was actually in Belgrade, a little bit west of Bozeman, we refueled at Pacific Pride on Thunder Road in Belgrade with B-20. We still have a long way to go so we will drive as far as we can tonight and refuel tomorrow in Missoula.
